Regional Innovation Network

Alberta Innovates also provides technology commercialization support, mentorship and funding throughout the province via the Regional Innovation Network (RIN). There are RINs in Alberta: Calgary, Central Alberta, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, and Medicine Hat. Each RIN is made up of like-minded public organizations passionate about helping small technology- and knowledge-based businesses innovate and grow.

Local RIN partners collaborate to provide support services and programs that benefit their community, such as business education, research and development, design services, and rapid prototyping. The TDA works with the local RIN partners to ensure clients receive support, advice, and access to the resources they need.

Together, all the RINs form the Alberta Innovation Network (AIN) and share resources and information on Connectica.ca, Alberta's portal connecting innovators to funding programs and services.
